videocapturehw_largeIf you have a big collection of old tapes that you want to save digital, you got a serious problem. But the gadget world always has a solution. I know that there probably are easier ways but i just love this piece of technology. The problem, i want to copy my old VHS tapes to DVD but i wanted to edit them also. So i went searching and found the Pinnacle Digital Video Transfer.

You can rapidly copy analog video from any source in MPEG-4 quality to any USB 2.0 storage device without using a PC.

Pinnacle Video Transfer provides high-quality MPEG-4 encoding in H.264 at up to 720x480/576 (NTSC/PAL) resolution and supports multiple inputs including S-Video, Composite video and stereo audio.

High-speed USB 2.0 connection ensures fast digital video transfer. The compact size makes it perfect for backing up videos on the go.

I have tested it and copied a old vhs tape to a 8gb usb stick. :) If i have time i will post a youtube clip of my conversion next week. For now watch the clip from Tiger TV:
