Sometimes you come across something that’s just so cool you cant wait for it to be reality. Augmented ID is something on top of that list. The people from TAT created this briljant concept. Read there description watch the video and i know you will be a fan!

Augmented ID is a TAT concept that visualizes the digital identities of people you meet in real life. With a mobile device and face recognition software from Polar Rose, Augmented ID enables you to discover selected information about people around you. All users control their own augmented appearance, by selecting the content and social network links they want show to others. Modifying your augmented ID is easier than fixing your hair in real life and, of course, TAT Cascades will make sure you look great!

    • ]]>     MCTS(rgb)_1078As i told you in previous posts I’m trying to get a MCITP server administrator certification, last week i completed  the first step by passing the Microsoft 83-640 exam. So i got my first certification, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, AD.

    This is the exam with the new live labs environment, must say this is pretty cool and a really good way of testing you. Dont be scared of the new style, if you know your stuff you will pass, if you are the kind of person that uses brain dumps,  well good luck on this exam :) .

    The prepare me for the exam i used transcenders live lab & testing environment. Its actualy something i would recomend to everyone who is going to take this exam. You won’t get questions you get on your exam, so dont expect that! But it is a really good way to prepare you for the ‘ exam type’  . The transcender test is the thing that got me a 950 passing score…. :)

Wordpress offers a list of free templates made by the community, but sometimes you just want something that is more you. I found the extensoftartisteer_logosolution,  Artisteer. Before artisteer you needed to know how photoshop php/html worked if you wanted a design.

    With artisteer you can create a personal wordpress/joomla/drupla or just a plain html theme within minutes. I made a small demo movie on how to create a travel theme with artisteer.

    • ]]>     Ok, i know this can be a bit to much.. but i went to the Microsoft Geek Night 2009, the Hague (the netherlands).geeknight

    Got to play with the surface table, looked at the SDK and someone in action programming for the surface. Can’t wait to buy one for my self. Problem is microsoft only sells to business users at the moment.

    I also attended a presentation from Sara ford about codeplex. exciting things they are doing at codeplex.

    But unfortionaly no new news from microsoft. well BING but thats something wel al already knew.

    Since IT is going green we need to start thinking about what to do with our old computer parts. I found a great idea for my old processors on the instructables site.

    • ]]>     naamloosIf you have seen my previous posts you know that I’m trying to get a MCITP Server administrator 2008 certification for under USD 1.600,- . Since it has been a while i thought it would be nice to give you a update of my progress.

    I have started with Windows Server 2008, Configuring Active Directory (TS) thats the 70-640 exam. Currently watching dvd 2 from the trainsignal package and must say it is a really nice way of studying.

    Each Thursday evening from 19:00 till 22:30 i watch the dvd’s). And Fridays i take a hour or so ( if needed) to do some homework ;) . Started, hmm wait let me check, ok found the date 19-2-2009 and since then i spend 7 evenings watching the dvd’s. I’m at 70% for the TS 70-640 and did some practice exams.

    The package i ordered from trainsignal came with transcender testing software. I used it several times but found the interface not friendly and the program some what limited. So i did some research and found a great testing program from ucertify.com i’ts not that transcender doesn’t do a good job, but i found the u-certify program better!!

Its the biggest european ICT trade fair. It wasn’t the first time i went to the CEBIT, but it might be the last time.

    Last year i had a great trip, but this year a lot of the company’s didn’t show, parts of the trade fair where closed. But the worst is i didn’t see anything new. Wel 3D tv we all now know, headphones that work on your ear bones, and thats pretty much it.. o got to try the laser keyboard for your mobile phone realy cool but sadly not for i-phone. Seams that apple doesnt allow anything but audio via bluetooth.
